What is a Taproom? Our Taproom is a retail space set up for purchasing beer by the glass (we have cool tables, sit and stay for a Boxcar Taster, or a pint or two), or to go in cans and growlers/grunts.
Do you have a patio? Yeah we do, and it's awesome! Now we have a lawn patio too.
Do you serve food? Nope, we don't have a kitchen, and we're not a pub/restaurant. We do have snacks though, warm pretzels, pepperoni breadsticks, chicken bites, pepperoni & beef jerky, jars of snacks and trail mix, something to munch on while enjoying your beer. Feel free to bring food in with you, or order from any of the local eateries in Ponoka for delivery.
Do you serve anything to drink besides beer? We are a brewery, and a licensed production facility. As such, we can only serve beer that we produce on site, so that means no wine, sangria, hard liquor, or guest taps from other breweries. Recently we have added our very own Brewer's Beer Cocktails. These are rotational and typically made for the season. We also have coffee, craft pop, and kombucha for purchase.
Are minors allowed? Minors are welcome in the company of a responsible adult. Children must be within arms reach of an adult at all times, as we are a licensed facility, children cannot be unsupervised in any area of the Taproom or patio/lawn area.
Are pets allowed in the Taproom or on the patio? Our space is set up for human visitors, and not suitable for pet visitors.
Do you fill Growlers/Howlers/Grunts/various beer vessels? Of course! We sell Growlers and Grunts, and we're happy to fill what you already own. Just make sure that they're clean when you bring them in. Rinse your beer container with hot water, and let it air dry, don't use soap or detergent - nobody wants contaminated beer vessels.
Are you a bar? Do you have TVs to watch the (insert sports here) game? We are not a bar, no TVs, no loud music, no tolerance for drunk and disorderly behaviour. We do encourage conversation about great beer, conversation with your friends, making new friends over a pint, playing cards or cribbage.
Do you offer brewery tours? We do - but we don't have a scheduled time (so far). If one of the Brewers is available or someone else who sort of knows what's going on is around, we're happy to give tours. Check with the Taproom staff, or send an email to brew@siding14brewing.com if you would like to set up a scheduled tour.
How do I find out when new beers are available? Check back here, and we update our website, Untappd, our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter often. We'll have several offerings available in the Taproom that won't be available in other locations, so stay tuned.
Where can I find your beer, when I'm not at the Brewery? We have kegs and cans out in the wild in retail and restaurant locations from Waterton National Park in the south, in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lacombe, Airdrie, to Ft. McMurray in the north. If we aren't in your favourite retailer, ask for us!
